Updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps Proposed
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been in the process of updating the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMS) for Tarrant County, and specifically Euless. FEMA has sent a copy of the preliminary FIRMS to the City of Euless for review and comment.
The Engineering Division is reviewing the preliminary FIRMS and will have the maps available for public review through November 19, 2007 at 201 N. Ector, Development and Engineering Building. Additionally by clicking on the adjacent link the Euless maps can be viewed via your computer.
Throughout the review period the Engineering Division will accept written scientific and technical comments related to the proposed FIRMS. If there are any comments, they should be addressed to the City Engineer, 201 N. Ector, Euless, TX 76039-3595. Comments will then be forwarded to the local FEMA office where they will be addressed prior to finalizing the FIRMS.
