Salary
Salary ranges are designed to be competitive with area industries and municipalities.
Social Security
Euless is a non-participating agency. Funds are set aside in a Public Pension or other retirement system for retirement.
Public Pension
Full-Time Employees are enrolled in the Texas Municipal Retirement System – employee contributes 7% of salary; City matches 2:1 or 14% at retirement.
OBRA Plan
Part-Time Employees are enrolled in the OBRA Plan through Nationwide Retirement Systems – employee contributes 7.5% of salary.
Deferred Compensation, 457(b)
Employees may contribute additional retirement savings through Nationwide Retirement Systems.
Longevity Pay
- $5.00 for every month of service after the first year.
- $10.00 for every month of service after the sixth year.
Longevity Pay is added to paychecks as a lump sum in December of each year.
Tuition Reimbursement
After six months of employment, the city will reimburse full-time employees for the cost of tuition, fees and books. Conditions and restrictions do apply.
Paid Time Off
Vacation
Full-Time Employees receive paid vacation days after 1 year of service.
- Year 1 through 5: Employees accrue 2 weeks of paid vacation each year (Police & non-shift Fire accrue 3 weeks)
- Year 6 through 15: Employees accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation each year
- Year 16+: Employees accrue 4 weeks of paid vacation each year
Holidays
Full-Time Employees receive 9 paid holidays per calendar year, plus a floating holiday.

Sick Leave
Full-Time Employees receive 15 days of paid sick leave per year. Sick leave may be banked to a maximum of 130 days.
Emergency Leave
Full-Time Employees receive 3 days of paid emergency leave per calendar year for a catastrophic event (i.e. death in family or serious injury).

Medical Insurance
Medical Insurance is available to full-time employees, eligible dependents, and retirees.
Dental Insurance
Dental Insurance is available to full-time employees, eligible dependents, and retirees.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Medical and Child/Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts are available to full-time employees.
Income Protection
Life Insurance
The City covers full-time employees at 1.5x the employee's annual salary.
Voluntary Life Insurance
Additional coverage may be purchased by the employee.
Worker's Compensation
Full-Time employees may receive up to six months of salary continuation due to an on-the-job injury.
Long-Term Disability (LTD)
Full-Time employees may receive disability income after six months of disability.

Service Awards
Employees receive service pins for every five years of service.
Uniforms/Cleaning
A cleaning service is provided for Parks, Public Works and Facility Maintenance employees.
A cleaning allowance is provided for Police and Fire employees (shirts only).
Employee Assistance Program
Counseling services, child care referrals and pre-paid legal advice is available to all full-time employees.
U.S. Savings Bonds
Employees may purchase U.S. Savings Bonds through payroll deduction.
Recreation Center
Employees receive a free membership to the Midway Recreation Center for themselves and their immediate family living in their home.
Library
Employees receive a free membership to the Euless Public Library.
Golf Course
Employees receive a 15% discount on green fees and carts at the Texas Star Golf Course.
Animal Shelter
The Euless Animal Shelter will waive all adoption fees for employees adopting a pet.
