The participating cities of Euless, Hurst, North Richland Hills, Colleyville, Keller and Southlake have joined forces in an attempt to recruit the highest qualified police officer applicants. Requirements

Citizenship

Must be a legal United States resident. The City of Euless requires that you must be a United States Citizen.

Age

Applicants must be 21 years of age at the time of employment.

Character

Good moral character, stable employment history, valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements

General good health and normal hearing. Vision correctable to 20/20 and free of color blindness.

Education

(combined G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher)

Euless requires 30 college hours or 2 years police experience with the same department immediately prior to completing application.

What does the P.A.C.T. test involve?

Upon successful completion of a physical assessment and a written test, applicants are placed on an eligibility list valid for six months or until list expires. Applicants may be contacted by any of the participating agencies for the following: background check, oral interview, polygraph examination, psychological exam, complete medical exam or drug screening.

*Disqualification by one department may not eliminate you from consideration by other agencies.

P.A.C.T. Physical Assessment

Upon successful completion of a physical assessment and a written test, applicants are placed on an eligibility list valid for six months or until list expires. Applicants may be contacted by any of the participating agencies for the following: background check, oral interview, polygraph examination, psychological exam, complete medical exam or drug screening.

Applicants residing more than 200 miles from the P.A.C.T. area may take both the physical assessment and written test on the same day.

A study guide for the written examination may be obtained through the P.A.C.T. website.

The Physical Assessment Standards minimums are listed below. All applicants must pass all stages of the Physical Assessment Test.

  • 30 situps per minute
  • 25 pushups, no time limit. You may rest in the up position only. You cannot break form.
  • 300 meter run (1 minute 11 seconds)
  • 1 1/2 mile run (14 minutes 36 seconds)

There will be a minimum rest period of 10 minutes between events.
