Development Services
Development projects within the community undergo a rigorous plan review and approval process prior to construction. This includes residential, multi-family, commercial and industrial activity of any kind.
This development process is conducted by the Development Review Committee (DRC) to ensure that all aspects of a project relative to zoning, platting, utilities, construction and architectural standards, aesthetics and life/safety issues are in compliance with Euless' codes and ordinances, as well as any Federal and State regulations that may be applicable.
The DRC is composed of senior members of the Planning & Development, Public Works & Engineering, Fire, Police and Economic Development departments. They meet to review projects each Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. providing developers and builders with detailed comments on project layout and design.
Upon approval from DRC, new developments and site plans are presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission and eventually to the City Council for final approval.
