Citizens Police Academy
Alumni Association
The Euless Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association was formed as a civic group to support the Euless Police Department in the area of community understanding regarding the legal aspects of what a Police Department can do and cannot do when enforcing local, state, and federal laws. Through seminars, pamphlets, demonstrations, films, hands-on participation as well as forums with the various elected officials, (Mayor, City Councils, County Judges and District Attorneys), a strong effort has been made to heighten awareness and foster an excellent relationship between the citizens of this community and its Police Department.
Furthermore, the Euless Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association was formed to support the Department in many community activities. The association is open to all citizens of the city and those who own businesses in the city who want to give back their time and talents for making this city a better place to live and raise children. As you know, police departments today are called upon to do many things in the community, and in many cases are under staffed to handle the request and demands of the citizens. The Alumni Association supports the Police Department in as many ways possible.
The Alumni Association purchased two Precor treadmills for the Police Dept's gym. These treadmills are a great addition to the workout room and much appreciated. The Alumni Association also purchased Max and Maxine, the Public Information robots for the Neighborhood Patrol Officers. Max and Maxine are a great tool for the officers when communicating public safety messages to children. Max and Maxine can be seen at a lot of public events throughout the year.
